Motorcycle Check Ride Course

Course Outline

This accredited VicRoads program is designed for those who have obtained their Motorcycle Learner Permit and are wishing to obtain their Motorcycle Licence. The Check Ride is a compulsory component that is required to be successfully completed no less than 1 full month prior to conducting the Motorcycle Licence Assessment.

Participants must:

  • Hold a current Victorian motorcycle learner permit.
  • Bring their Victorian motorcycle learner permit with them on the day of training.
  • A second form of identification e.g. Medicare card, birth certificate
  • Must notify staff of any medical conditions/medication taken
  • MUST wear appropriate protective clothing with full skin coverage for riding motorcycles.
  • Approved helmet
  • Gloves (not fingerless)
  • Jeans or trade work pants
  • Long sleeves
  • Decent footwear (no slip on or open toe)

Handbook

Participants will be tested as required by Vic Roads to receive documentation to certify successful completion. Participants will undergo a riding skill assessment prior to commencement of the On Road Riding Assessment.
