This qualification is designed to obtain a traineeship for driving operation job roles within the Transport & Logistics Industry. Successful completion of the qualification will require competence in units of competency that relate to selected job role requirements. Successful completion of a licencing unit within the qualification must align with licencing and Vic Roads requirements applicable to Heavy Vehicle.

As a general principle this course supports the cluster of units of competency for assessment where practical. An integrated approach reflects real work practices and is designed to complete a number of interrelated functions and OH & S tasks at the same time.

LICENCING LEGISLATIVE REQUIREMENTS
The primary legislative requirements applicable to this qualification in relation to road use and driver licencing are based on the individual State/Territory Legislation.
