Course Outline

Designed for individuals who wish to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to obtain National Competency as a Heavy Machinery Operator. This course consists of comprehensive theory and practical training and assessment and meets the requirements of National Competency Standards.

  • Participants must be 18 years of age
  •  Provide proof of identity prior to testing
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear
  • Be proficient in English
    • Identify any areas where participants may need additional support
    • Minimum written and /or oral English level Identify whether students physical attributes may influence their ability to complete the training and assessment tasks (Reasonable adjustment required).

To train participants to operate Heavy Machinery in a safe and effective manner, in accordance with WHS obligations and manufacturers guidelines.

CERTIFICATION

At successful completion of this course a Statement of Attainment will be issued to students, reflecting the National unit of competency achieved.
